A man from Suffolk has been charged with abduction and strangulation after a University of Virginia student was taken against her will. According to the Charlottesville Police Department, officers were dispatched Wednesday night to the Venable area of Charlottesville, less than a mile northeast of UVA's campus, for a 'disorder.' At the scene, officers found 'multiple vehicles and trees being struck by a suspect's vehicle.' Emergency services also found a woman who said an unknown man had tried to abduct her.
